The Web Design Process

Your web project is completed in 7 steps, information gathering, planning, design, development, testing, and maintenance. Each step is necessary to ensure we are both on the same page and to set proper expectations on both sides.

* No/limited communication on the end of the client can hold up and increase the timeline of this project. This includes waiting for design approval, content, images, etc.

Information Gathering

There are many things that have to be taken into consideration before designing the look and feel of your website. After you contact us, we will get a feel for your business and what type of functionality you want your website to have.

This is your time to tell us what you want to see in your website – image gallery, featured slider, contact form, Google maps, etc.

Timeline: 2-3 Days

Using the information gathered, we put together the structure and bones for your website. The planning phase includes coming up with a consistent and easy navigation system (sitemap) and deciding on key features such as: whether a shopping cart is needed, forms, photo galleries, photo slider, etc. Your end user is kept in mind throughout the whole process.

Timeline: 2-3 Days

We design your website with all of the information gathered in the previous steps. When a design is completed, we will send you PDF preview of it. Upon your review we can tweak and change anything you see fit. This step is completed upon your approval to move forward.

Timeline: 1-2 Weeks*

The development stage is where your website is actually created on the web. We take the graphic elements from the design phase and implement them on your website. Galleries, forms, shopping carts, and other elements are added. You will be given a link to view the progress of the website and to provide your input.

Timeline: 2 Weeks*

Your website will be tested in many different environments, and browsers. All functionality in your custom website will be tested (forms, shopping carts, navigation, etc) so your website can target the greatest amount of people.

Timeline: 2-3 Days

The delivery phase is taking your beta site and launching it on your domain name. Your new website is open for business!

Timeline: 1 Day

Freshness is what keeps people coming back to your website. Regular website updates keep your customers informed about events, coupons, products/services. We can provide website maintenance for your business at a low hourly cost.
